Lane College is an Accredited College by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Lane is a part of the Reaffirmation Class of 2013. The schedule, as prescribed by the Commission on Colleges is as follows:
March 15, 2012 -- Compliance Certification Due
May 8-11, 2012 -- Off-site Peer Review Conducted
August 15, 2012 -- Quality Enhancement Plan Due (4-6 weeks in advance of on-site review)

Compliance Certification Report The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a SACS requirement for reaffirmation. Core Requirement mandates that an institution develop a plan for increasing the effectiveness of some aspects of its educational program relating to student learning. Comprehensive standard 3.3.2 requires that an institution demonstrate institutional capacity for completion of the QEP, involve institutional constituencies in planning and implementation of the QEP, and establish goals and an assessment plan. Quality Enhancement Plan Guidelines (pdf) are provided by the Commission.
2.12 – The institution has developed an acceptable Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) that includes an institutional process for identifying key issues emerging from institutional assessment and focuses on learning outcomes and / or the environment supporting student learning and accomplishing the mission. 3.3.2 – The institution has developed a Quality Enhancement Plan that (1) demonstrates institutional capability for the initiation, implementation, and completion of the QEP; (2) includes broad-based involvement of institutional constituencies in the development and proposed implementation of the QEP; and (3) identifies goals and a plan to assess their achievement.
