GMR WEB TEAM MARKETING SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
GMR Web Team is a full service digital marketing agency in Orange County, CA that offers one-stop solutions for all internet marketing needs. Our company works with small and medium established businesses as well as small funded start-up companies. We provide every client with customized internet marketing strategies, website design, and on-going maintenance.
Scholarship amount: $1000.00/semester (Fall and Spring)
All applicants must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a university and must be pursuing a marketing degree or a business degree with an emphasis in marketing. Applicants are required to use their college email address (.edu) when registering for the scholarship.
To apply for the scholarship, students must:
- Fill out the application form
- Submit a 1 page personal statement describing future career goals and aspirations
- Submit a marketing plan on a fictional business you create that will be featured on GMR Web Team’s blog
GMR Web Team will announce the winner on its blog. Moreover, the winner must be ready to submit unofficial transcripts for verification and review, agree to submit a headshot, and grant GMR Web Team permission to display the headshot and marketing plan on the blog before receiving the reward.
Please note that GMR Web Team will be the sole entity to determine the winner, and can use any criteria at its discretion to select him or her.
Imagine that you’re the business owner of a luggage brand that is about to launch nationwide. You already have an existing e-Commerce website but no digital marketing strategy. Write the marketing plan in a word document and describe what steps you would take to market this business and back it up with logical reasoning. The winning marketing plan will be featured on GMR Web Team’s blog.
- 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA
- Full-time enrollment (12 units or more)
This is a semester scholarship and will be awarded in the spring and fall semester. Students are welcome to apply for the scholarship throughout the year. Applicants will receive a confirmation email, where they will be prompted to verify the scholarship entry.
January 3rd; July 30th

THE TOM JOYNER FOUNDATION HUNGRY FOR EDUCATION (HFE) SCHOLARSHIP
The Tom Joyner Foundation and Denny’s Corporation (NASDAQ: DENN), franchisor and operator of one of America’s largest full-service restaurant chains, have partnered for the third year for the Hungry For Education (HFE) scholarship program for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Full-time students with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 to 4.0 are eligible to apply. An amount of $2,500.00 will be awarded. The deadline is December 17, 2014 at 11:59 pm CST, and winners are expected to be announced January 2015. Scholarship support will also be awarded that month.
To apply, students must submit an essay of 200 words or less on the topic, "Describe your most memorable community service or activity to combat hunger."

UNCF/Intel Scholarship Program
This program is designed to ensure educational access and ease the financial burden of attending college for talented students in need.
Interested applicants must be College Juniors, College Seniors or Master’s degree candidates at the time of application, majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Science/MIS, Computer Information System, Information Management System, Information Technology, Management Information System and Mechanical Engineering with cumulative GPA of 3.20 or better.
In addition, eligible applicants must:
- Be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents.
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and must be Pell Grant eligible and have a demonstrated financial need.
- Submit the UNCF/Intel Scholarship Program online application with two letters of recommendation, essay and most recent official transcript.
The online application deadline date is November 14, 2014.
Selected students will receive up to $8,500 onetime need based scholarship award for the 2014/15 academic year. Interested applicants can apply at our website https://scholarships.uncf.org. First time applicants must register/create a profile.
