The library's Technical Services Department is housed on the 2nd floor in the library of the CMAC building. Technical Services Department is responsible for processing all materials including both new materials which are purchased by the library and gift materials which are received through donations.
The Technical Services Department is responsible for processing books, periodicals and other materials, which includes classification, cataloging, authority control, and labeling.
LibraryWorld is the web based catalog system used by Lane College Library. All materials are cataloged using Dewey decimal classification system.
Technical Services Department is also responsible for minor book repair and facilitating the loan of reserve textbooks from Lane College Bookstore. Contact for information:
