The purpose of residential life is to create an environment conducive to living / learning and the development of the “whole student” within an atmosphere that stimulates personal growth and encourages the development of appropriate attitudes and conduct to allow for a communal academic environment.Lane College operates ten (10) residence halls – five for men, and five for women. Residence hall living is designed to complement the academic curriculum by providing a favorable climate for learning. The residence halls are also laboratories in human relations and provide an opportunity for students to participate in self-governance and to develop program to benefit each resident.
