| Registrar Office ![]() | TRANSCRIPTSRequesting Your Official Transcript The official transcript is the College’s official statement of your academic record. The official transcript is printed on security sensitive paper and contains the College’s seal and signature of the College Registrar. It lists all courses completed, all grades earned, and the semester in which they were received. The Registrar’s Office is proud to provide quality service through timely and accurate response to all requests. Requests are normally processed within two working days of their receipt. Standard delivery is by United States first class mail. All outgoing mail is safely sealed to insure confidentiality of the contents. Some situations require express delivery of the outgoing official transcript. If so required by the requestor, we are pleased to provide, at an additional cost, overnight express mail. Using this service has the added benefit of providing a mailing tracking number. We are pleased to accept inquiries from the original requestor regarding the processing status of his/her request for an official transcript. For requests sent to us by Fax, please allow 12 hours before inquiry. For requests sent by United States mail, please allow for reasonable delivery time. Before mailing, all address information is double checked to insure accuracy and completeness. If a document is not delivered because of an error on our part, we will gladly provide a replacement document at no additional cost. We cannot accept responsibility for non-delivery if the address provided to us is either incomplete or incorrect. We cannot accept responsibility for delivery by the United States Postal Service. You may be asked to provide a copy of your official transcript to potential employers, graduate schools, professional organizations, and so on. It is very common for these employers and organizations to request that the College send your transcript directly to them. For your protection, we will not release an official transcript without your permission and signature. Information Needed to Request a Transcript To provide you the best service possible and to maintain the security of your academic record, we need the following information:
The official transcript fee is $2 per transcript; payable by cashier’s check, check, money order, Visa or MasterCard. Please Note:
2. Requests from current or former students with unmet financial obligations. Ordering in person Transcript requests ordered by fax will be processed only if payment is made by VISA or MasterCard. Fax requests should be sent to (731) 426-7594. Your request must include your VISA or MasterCard number and expiration date. Transcripts will NOT be distributed by fax. The fax machine receiving transcript requests is connected to a dedicated telephone line located in the Registrar’s Office. This area is a limited access area. Because of the influx of Fax Requests, we cannot verify receiving your request until the following day. Ordering by Mail: Transcript requests should be sent to Lane College Include a check or money order made payable to Lane College for the total amount, or your current VISA or MasterCard number and expiration as means of payment. Also include the vital information listed previously. Transcript requests are usually processed within two normal working days of receipt. Processing time after the end of each semester could increase by several business working days due to the high volume of requests received. Standard delivery of transcripts is by first class U.S. mail. Special Services There may be times when obtaining a transcript quickly is critical to you. To meet your needs, we do offer the following service:
2. Requesting Your Unofficial Transcript The unofficial transcript has the same information about a student as an official transcript, but it does not have the College seal; it is not signed by the Registrar; it is not printed on special paper; and it does not have a grading guide printed on the back. It is printed on plain white paper and may be duplicated. Unofficial transcripts are free to currently enrolled students for academic advising. Unofficial transcripts will not be mailed. |
