FACULTY POSITIONS

Lane College, a private, four-year, co-educational institution, located in Jackson, Tennessee, takes very seriously the filling of the faculty and staff positions below. Art:

Lane College seeks to fill one full-time position in Art for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 4-5 classes (12-15 hours) each semester, advising, and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a Masters degree in Art; an M.F.A. or Ph.D. degree in Art is preferred.

Teacher Education:

The Department of Teacher Education at Lane College seeks to fill one full-time, tenure-track position for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 4-5 classes each semester and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a PhD, EdD, or the equivalent.

Biology:

The Department of Biology at Lane College seeks to fill one full-time, tenure-track position for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 4-5 classes each semester and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a PhD, EdD, or the equivalent.

English:

The Department of English at Lane College seeks to fill one full-time, tenure-track position for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 4-5 classes each semester and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a PhD, EdD, or the equivalent.

Physical Education:

The Department of Physical Education at Lane College seeks to fill one full-time, tenure-track position for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 4-5 classes each semester and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a PhD, EdD, or the equivalent.

Spanish:

Lane College seeks to fill two full-time, positions in Spanish for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 4-5 classes (12-15 hours) each semester, advising, and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a MA or MS degree in Spanish; a Ph.D. degree in Spanish is preferred.

Speech:

Lane College seeks to fill two full-time, tenure-track positions in speech for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 4-5 classes (12-15 hours) each semester, advising, and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a MA or MS degree in speech; a Ph.D. degree in Speech Communication is preferred. Preference given to candidates with an established record of quality teaching and experience in minority serving institutions.

Religious Studies:

The Department of Religious Studies at Lane College seeks to fill one full-time, tenure-track position for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 4-5 classes each semester and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a PhD, EdD, or the equivalent.

Mathematics:

The Department of Mathematics at Lane College seeks to fill two full-time, tenure-track positions for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 4-5 classes each semester and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a PhD, EdD, or the equivalent.

Business Administration:

The Department of Business at Lane College seeks to fill one full-time, tenure-track position in marketing for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 4-5 classes (12-15 hours) each semester, advising, and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a MBA degree with a concentration in marketing; a Ph.D. in Business with a concentration in Marketing or the equivalent is preferred.

Music (vocal):

The Lane College Department of Music seeks to fill one full-time, tenure-track position in music (vocal) for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 3-4 classes (9-12 hours) each semester, directing the College Choir, and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a MA or MFA degree in music; a Ph.D. degree in Music or the equivalent is preferred.

Music (piano):

The Lane College Department of Music seeks to fill one full-time, tenure-track position in music (piano) for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching 3-4 classes (9-12 hours) each semester, accompanying the College Choir, and participating in departmental activities. Appointment begins August 6, 2010. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in Music.
