POSTION ANNOUNCEMENT

ACCOUNTING ANALYST

Lane College, a 4-year undergraduate educational institution with approximately 2,100 students, is seeking a person to immediately fill an Accounting Analyst position. This is an entry level position reporting directly to the Chief Accountant.

• Undergraduate Degree in Accounting.

• 1+ years of accounting and/or auditing experience, preferably in a not-for-profit organization
• Strong PC skills to include intermediate to expert MS Excel knowledge
• Ability to work independently on several projects and prioritize his/her assignments

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new skills
• Strong organizational and analysis skills
• Team oriented person who can focus on the details

• Assist in the preparation of interim and annual financial statements
• Reconcile bank statements
• Prepare budget reports
• Reconcile and provide monthly budget reports for grants and contracts
• Perform other duties as assigned
