A MAJOR in physical education requires 48 CREDIT HOURS
These hours include thirty-two (41) required credit hours, and seven (7) credit hours to be selected from physical education electives.
A MINOR in physical education requires 18 CREDIT HOURS
These hours include a combination of health education and physical education courses.
Students graduating with degrees in Physical Education will:
- 1. Demonstrate an understanding of movement concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics as they apply to the learning and performance of physical activities.
- 2. Demonstrate an understanding of the value of physical activity for health, enjoyment, self- expression, and/or social interaction.
- 3. Demonstrate knowledge of the basic functions of the human body and its systems.
