This checklist is made with your success in mind to prepare for a great semester. We encourage you to complete the steps listed below by Wednesday, July 1, 2026, to qualify for the Fall semester Fast Track Check-in.

REGISTRATION/COURSE SELECTION
Newly Admitted:
- New Freshmen and New Transfers must contact laneInstitute@lanecollege.edu or text 731-236-2754 for assistance.
- Newly re-admitted students with 60+ earned credit hours must contact their advisor List of Advisors for assistance.
Returning Students:
- Returning Students with 0-59 hours must contact lanelnstitute@lanecollege.edu or text 731-236-2754 for assistance.
- Returning Students with 60+ credit hours must contact your advisor (find contact information in your Student Portal) for assistance.
FINANCIAL AID | Newly Admitted and Returning Students
- Complete your 2026-2027 FAFSA (visit https://studentaid.gov/).
- If you need assistance with completing the FAFSA, contact fao@lanecollege.edu or call 731-426-7537.
- Accept your financial aid award in your Student Portal.
- If you are accepting loans, complete your Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling (visit https://studentaid.gov/). This may be required if you are selected for verification.
- Submit all verification documents if requested (e.g., parents' tax return) to fao@lanecollege.edu.
STUDENT ACCOUNTS | Newly Admitted and Returning Students
- BankMobile is the company we use for refund disbursements. Each semester, the registered student list is uploaded, and an email will be sent to students to choose a refund method. Even if a student does not receive a refund, we strongly suggest choosing a refund method.

- After Saturday, July 18th, check your Housing Portal to ensure you have received your Room Assignment.
