As our college community recognizes Constitution Day on Wednesday September 14, 2022, we will celebrate the lives of two iconic figures in American History, Harriet Tubman & Frederick Douglass.

Join us in the William H. Graves Auditorium (CMAC) during our 11:00 am hour. We will screen “Harriet Tubman: Visions of Freedom & Becoming Frederick Douglass”.

Go beyond the legend and meet the inspiring woman who repeatedly risked her own life and freedom to liberate others from slavery and discover how a man born into slavery in Maryland became one of the most influential voices for democracy in American history.

“There are no two people more important to our country’s history than Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman. Their remarkable lives and contributions were a critical part of the 19th century, and their legacies help us understand who we are as a nation. We are honored to share their stories with a country that continues to grapple with the impact of slavery and debate notions of citizenship, democracy and freedom.”
