UNCF Scholarships for High School Seniors

McDonald's Academic Excellence Award - Students must be a high school senior with a minimum 2.8 GPA overall, living in St. Louis & Metro East to be eligible to apply. Award Amount: $3,000; Application Due/Close Date: This Tues., 3-28-17, 10:59 PM CST; 11:59 PM EST

To Apply:

  1. Log onto www.scholarships.uncf.org
  2. Click on “Log On or Register” in the upper right corner
  3. Create a username, password and profile
  4. Navigate to the McDonald’s Academic Excellence Award description page, and click "Apply."
  5. Complete Application
  6. A scanned copy of your official transcript might also be required; so, that you can upload it to the UNCF website
  7. Online Recommendations from two(2) teachers, or one (1) teacher and one (1) counselor/principal, community service leader who are familiar with the student's academic performance and involvement in school and community service. Students must use the Invite Reference button which can be located on their scholarship application status page.

The Cedric “The Entertainer” Foundation Scholarship- Students must be high school seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA overall, living in the St. Louis metro area planning to attend a UNCF school or Southeast Missouri State University; Application Due/Close Date: This Fri., 3-31-17, 10:59 PM CST; 11:59 PM EST

  4. Navigate to the Cedric "The Entertainer" Scholarship description page, and click "Apply."

The Cynthia D Horton Scholarship – Students must be a high school senior with a minimum 2.5 GPA overall, planning on attending an HBCU/UNCFCollege. Application Due/Close Date: This Fri., 3-31-17 11:59 PM EST & 10:59 PM CST.

Monarch Awards Foundation (AKA Sorority, INC., Not a UNCF Program) - for high school seniors and college students enrolled at HBCUs; who are permanent residents of the Chicago, IL metropolitan area (Cook, Kane, Lake, McHenry, DuPage and Will counties) and have at least a 3.0 GPA; All applications andsupporting materials must be postmarked by This Fri., March 31, 2017; for more information, log onto https://www.monarchawardsfoundation.org/scholarships; For assistance, contact please contact Karla Johnson at scholarships@monarchawardsfoundation.org.




Montgomery County Scholarship - Students must be a high school senior living in Montgomery County, Ohio, with a minimum 2.5 GPA overall , planning to attend an HBCU to be eligible. Dallas ISD Scholarship 2017 – Students must be a must be Spring 2017 Dallas ISD Graduating Seniors, who will be enrolled full time at any four year college or university. with a minimum 2.75 GPA overall to be eligible to apply. Award Amount: Up to $2,500; Application Due/Close Date: Fri., 4-7-17, & 10:59 PM CST; 11:59 PM EST

Chattahoochee Valley Area Scholarship 2017 - for 2017 high school graduates from the Muscogee, Russell, and Lee Counties in Georgia. Students must be attending a 4 year accredited college or university in the state of Georgia, have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and a financial need; Application Due/Close Date: Fri., 4-7-17, & 10:59 PM CST; 11:59 PM EST
