
Lane College Announces Homecoming Parade Marshal: Lamman Rucker, Actor, Producer, and Distinguished Alumnus
Jackson, Tennessee (October 9, 2024) – Lane College proudly announces that Lamman Rucker, acclaimed actor, producer, and esteemed alumnus of the Class of 2019, will serve as the Marshal for this year’s Homecoming Parade. This event, celebrating Lane College’s rich history and vibrant community, will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 8:30 A.M on the campus of Lane College.
Lamman Rucker, a graduate who earned his Doctor of Humane Letters, has made significant contributions to the arts and entertainment industry. Known for his compelling performances in popular television shows and films, Rucker has captivated audiences with his talent and charisma. His dedication to his craft and his commitment to uplifting the community have earned him recognition and respect both on and off the screen.
“I am deeply honored to return to Lane College as the Homecoming Parade Marshal,” said Rucker. “This institution has played a pivotal role in shaping my journey, and I am excited to celebrate our legacy and the bright future of our students.”
The Homecoming Parade is a cherished tradition at Lane College, bringing together alumni, students, faculty, and the community in a spirited celebration of pride and unity. This year’s theme, “Dragons Forever,” reflects the college’s commitment to fostering excellence and community engagement.

The parade will feature a variety of floats, marching bands, performances from dance & cheer teams, and special appearances from Lane College faculty and community leaders. Attendees are encouraged to come out and join the festivities as Lane College celebrates its tradition, achievements, and the vibrant spirit of its community.
