Jackson, TN – Lane College proudly announces the appointments of Dr. Jason Snipe and Dr. Valerie Love to its inaugural cohort of Executives-in-Residence, effective August 1, 2025. These distinguished leaders will partner with institutional teams to advance key strategic priorities through the College’s newly adopted Executive-in-Residence Program.
The program is designed to harness the expertise of industry leaders through flexible, high-impact engagement, ranging from virtual to hybrid models, tailored to Lane’s evolving needs.
Dr. Jason Snipe, a nationally recognized financial strategist and Founder of Odyssey Capital Advisors, joins Lane College to support the strategic pillar of Financial Vitality. With decades of experience managing complex investment portfolios and advising institutional clients, Dr. Snipe will work in close collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer to strengthen fiscal sustainability, optimize resource stewardship, and expand long-term revenue strategies.
His role will also include mentorship opportunities for students interested in finance, business, and economic leadership.
Dr. Valerie Love, a native of Jackson, TN, and a proud graduate of Tennessee State University, brings an extraordinary career in global human resources and executive leadership. Her impact spans leading HR strategies at companies including General Motors, Tyco, Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola, and Fanatics.
As Senior Vice President of HR at Coca-Cola North America, she led the company’s people strategy through the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020 social justice movement—driving equity-centered communication and building tools that fostered inclusion and belonging.
At Lane, Dr. Love will collaborate with the Chief People Officer and the Human Resources team to advance institutional culture, support talent development, and build systems aligned with the strategic pillar: Driving Toward the Next Level of Excellence.
Her national recognitions include the Ebony Power 100, Hallmark’s Mahogany Honors Experience, the YWCA TWIN Award, and features in Forbes and the Wall Street Journal.
