Jackson, TN – February 6, 2025 – Lane College is pleased to announce the appointment of Stanley Conner as the new Head Football Coach. Conner brings over 30 years of coaching experience at both collegiate and high school levels, with a history of developing championship-winning teams and athletes. He joins Lane College after eight successful seasons at Miles College, where he was the Running Backs Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, contributing to three SIAC Championships. Conner has also held head coaching positions at Benedict College and Concordia-Alabama, and coaching roles at Alabama A&M and Alabama State, leading teams to multiple SWAC Eastern Division Championships. A former player at Jackson State University, Conner has deep ties to Southern football and is known for his recruiting and talent development skills. He is excited to lead Lane College's football program and mentor student-athletes both on and off the field. Conner, his wife, and two daughters are thrilled to join the Lane College family.
