Dear Lane Community,

In continuation of our efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Lane College will close to visitors and guests. Essential personnel and students who live on campus are the only persons permitted on campus. While the campus remains open, many employees are working remotely. So, please contact the office directly or call the College’s information number at 731.426.7500 or email REMOTE@LANECOLLEGE.EDU.

As previously announced, remote instruction begins on Monday, March 30, 2020 with no face-to-face classes. For students living off-campus, please know, the local authorities have issued a “safer at home” order that directs individuals may leave their residences only to perform essential activities. Please govern yourselves accordingly.

Nevertheless, if you are permitted to come to campus, the following applies to you:

If you are sick or have symptoms, do not return to campus, please remain where you are, continue to isolate yourself and shelter in place. In particular,

1. If you have a FEVER (temperature above 99), do not return to campus…

2. If you have a RUNNY NOSE, do not return to campus…

3. If you have a COUGH, do not return to campus…

4. If you are SNEEZING, do not return to campus…

5. If you have a SORE THROAT, do not return to campus…

6. If you have DIFFICULTY BREATHING, do not return to campus…

7. If you are FEELING ILL, do not return to campus…

8. If you have an UPSET STOMACH or DIARRHEA, do not return to campus…

If you have BEEN IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS COVID-19, do not return to campus…

Grace, mercy and peace,

Logan Hampton
