We are so excited to welcome you to your new home away from home! The energy and excitement on campus during Move-in Day is like no other. New students (first-time freshmen) and Camp participants (Band, Cheer, Choir, Football, and Volleyball) will move into the residential halls on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 8:00am CST – 5:00pm CST. Returning, transfer and readmitted students will move into the residential halls on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 8:00am CST – 5:00pm CST. Here are a few helpful things you can do to prepare for a successful move-in experience:
Before You Arrive on Campus:
Before arriving on campus, make sure you have taken care of your important business matters.
COVID-19
____ Have your negative COVID-19 test results (dated July 12, 2021 or later) or have your vaccination card. You should be prepared to present either a negative test result or completed vaccination card at the move in station.
Financial Aid
____ You have completed your 2021-2022 FAFSA.
____ You have accepted your aid in CAMS.
____ You have completed your Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling via www.studentaid.gov (If you are accepting loans)
If you have been selected for verification.
____You have submitted all documents for verification (i.e., parents 2019 tax return and verification worksheet)
Student Accounts
____ You have a zero ($0.00) balance or
____ You have setup a payment plan with Student Accounts.
Housing
____ You have completed your Room Reservation Form.
____ You have paid your $50 non-refundable Room Reservation Fee.

Try to pack items in boxes, storage tubs, or durable easy to carry bags to make the move-in process easy for you and your family.

Arriving on Campus
When arriving on campus, you will check in at the J.F. Lane Gymnasium. When entering the building please wear your face mask, have your COVID-19 negative results or COVID-19 vaccination card, and photo ID ready to present.
Textbook Pick Up
Once you have checked in, received your housing key, received your Dragon Student ID Card, and moved into your residential hall you will be ready to pick up your textbooks at the Lane College Bookstore.
COVID-19 Safety Precautions and Requirements
Move-In Day is an exciting time and we want everyone involved to enjoy the day while also staying safe. Please review and adhere to the following safety guidelines:
Masks are required for anyone (faculty, staff, students, guests, etc.) entering campus facilities.
Each student can bring no more than two guests inside the residence halls.
Regular hand washing is encouraged. Hand sanitizing stations will be available at entrances and exits.
Keep the following in mind on the day of your move-in slot:

If you have been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, do not move in. Contact (call or text) 731.425.2561 to make arrangements to move in at a later date.
Do not bring anyone with you who is feeling sick or who has been exposed to COVID-19.
