Mr. Lane College and Miss Lane College 2021 Crowned!

Miss Lane College 2021 is Mia Townsend, age 20, from Chattanooga, Tenn. She is a junior business major, a member of the Beta Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and active in The National Society of Leadership and Success. Townsend will move on to represent Lane College at the Miss Tennessee Volunteer competition this summer.

Mr. Lane College 2021 is Aaron Banks, age 21, from Memphis, Tenn. Aaron is a member of the Beta Lambda Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Campus Activity Board, Student Government Association, Mentor U, and the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature.

Townsend takes over the role of Miss Lane College from Aalyia Fobbs, Miss Lane College 2020. Fobbs crowned her successor at the Graves Auditorium on Sunday and presented her with a bouquet of roses and a trophy.

Banks assumes the role of Mr. Lane College from Leelan Wilkins, Mr. Lane College 2020. Wilkins crowned his successor at Graves Auditorium on Sunday and presented him a trophy.

The yearlong reign of the new Mr. and Miss Lane starts immediately. They will make public appearances, do charity work, speak to community groups, motivate students, and more.

First Runner-Up to Miss Lane College is Carmon Wilson and Second Runner-Up is Hannah Johnson. First Runner-Up to Mr. Lane College is Damonte Anderson and Second Runner-Up is Jamal Mason.
