As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, Lane has updated our protocols. Here's the latest information on our COVID-19 protocols and community requirements.

COVID-19 Testing Protocol

Lane College will test students, faculty, or staff for purposes of surveillance, diagnosis, screening, or in the context of an outbreak. Individuals should be considered for and offered testing if they:

• Show signs or symptoms consistent with COVID-19
• Have a recent known or suspected exposure to a person with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (diagnostic)
• Have been asked or referred to get testing by their healthcare provider
• Are part of a cohort for whom testing is recommended to include; certain groups on campus as deemed necessary/ indicated: i.e. choir, athletic groups, etc.
• Community entry screening if indicated by the college.
• Testing will take place at the Office of Health Services-between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm. (Mon-Fri)- Health Services is located at 570 Lane Avenue (the corner of Lane Ave.and Middleton Street).

• Health Services will offer the latest CDC recommendations
• If you have a fever or cough, self-isolate and contact Health Services at 731-444-0923 for evaluation.
• Health Services will:
  •  Triage (ask a series of questions) and perform COVID-19 testing as indicated.
• If a student tests positive, he or she will be isolated (away from campus community) for 5 days. Housing options are at the discretion of the Housing department.
  •  If COVID-19 symptoms are worsening or you have trouble breathing, call 911 and/or go to the nearest ER.
