The Spring semester is approaching. This is everything you need to know about Move-In Day. We can’t wait to see you in January.

Dates: Spring Move-In/Check-in will be January 5-6, 2024. We will be closed Sunday, January 7, 2024.

Time: 8:00am-5:00pm (Central) both days. We will close for lunch each day from 12:00pm-1:00pm (Central).

Location: Chambers-McClure Academic Center (CMAC) 1st Floor.

Here are a few helpful things you can do before arriving to prepare for a successful move-in experience:

New Students:

­­­­_____ Have your Letter of Admissions or your Username and Password on hand at the time of Move-in

_____ Complete the 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) at www.studentaid.gov and include Lane College (003499)

_____ Complete your Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling at www.studentaid.gov

_____ Accept your financial aid award in your CAMS Student Portal

_____ Select classes with a representative from Lane Institute

_____ Be prepared to set up a payment plan with Student Accounts if you have a remaining balance

_____ Complete the Room Reservation Form and pay your $50 non-refundable Room Reservation Fee at https://www.lanecollege.edu/lane-life/housing

Current Students:

_____ Check your CAMS Student Portal for any updates or notifications related to your 2023-2024 FAFSA

_____ Select classes with a representative from Lane Institute (0-60 credit hours) or your academic advisor (61 credit hours or more)

_____ Be prepared to set up a payment plan with Student Accounts if you have a remaining balance

_____ Check your Lane College email and/or CAMS Student Portal for any Housing updates

Packing Prep

Use our packing guide as a helpful checklist! Try to pack items in boxes, storage tubs, or durable easy to carry bags to make the move-in process easy for you and your family.

Textbook Pickup

Once you have moved in, received your housing key, received your Dragon Student ID Card, and moved into your residential hall you will be ready to pick up your textbooks at the Lane College Bookstore located in the Water Tower Building.

COVID-19 and Flu Safety Precautions

During this season, we ask that you and your parents take precautions during Move-in Day. Masks, regular hand washing, and hand sanitizing are strongly encouraged.

If you feel sick or have been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 or the Flu, do not move in. Contact housing@lanecollege.edu to make arrangements to move in at a later date.
