Dear Lane Community,
At His Last Supper, Jesus “got up from the table, took off His robe, wrapped a towel around His waist, …poured water into a basin… [and] began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel He had around Him (John 13:4-5 NLT).
Jesus knew that Judas had betrayed Him. In love Jesus washed his betraying feet. Jesus knew that Peter would deny Him. In love Jesus washed Peter's denying feet. Jesus knew Thomas would doubt Him. In love Jesus washed his doubting feet. Jesus knew the disciples would desert Him. In love He washed their deserting feet anyhow.
Jesus’s love is transformative and redemptive. Love looks beyond the imperfection of humanity to the perfection of God in each of us. I pray you celebrate with Jesus’s joy and share His transformative love with others.
In observance of Jesus’s resurrection, the College offices will close for Good Friday, March 29, 2024, and reopen on Monday, April 1, 2024.
Resurrection blessings,
Logan Hampton
President
