(Jackson, TN – April 25, 2024) Lane College will celebrate its Annual Commencement Exercises for the exceptional 2024 graduates. The event, scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2024, at New St. Luke Baptist Church, 1670 N. Royal Street, Jackson, TN, will be a testament to their hard work and dedication. We are particularly excited to celebrate the students from Jackson-Central Merry High School who are enrolled in the Pharmacy Tech Certification program at Lane College.
This year, we also have the honor of graduating the first batch of students from our esteemed Educator Preparation Program. Additionally, the celebration will include opening remarks by Lane College President Logan Hampton, the highest-ranking senior Tyshon Gaiter, SGA President Malek Lockhart, and Senior Class President JakNiyah Thompson. The academic division leaders and Board Chair, Marvin Frank Thomas, Sr., will also deliver remarks. Members of the honored classes will receive their 50-, 60-, and 70-year diplomas.
“It is always a pleasure to congratulate our graduates as they walk across the stage amidst the cheers of their family and friends,” said Lane College President Logan Hampton. “As with all Lane College events, we hope this commencement exercise will adequately honor and showcase our students. For each of them, this milestone marks a moment in their educational journey that will launch careers, impact their communities, and inspire others.”
